Turkey is surrounded by four seas and has a long coast line of nearly 8700 kilometres. Wind energy in Turkey grew by 75% in 2009 to 800 MW. In order for Turkey to become one of the top 3 largest wind energy producers in Europe, the government has stated their aim to increase the wind energy capacity up to 10 GW by 2014 and 20GW by 2023.
Senior officials, industry leaders, suppliers and investors around the world are gathering at this summit to discuss new governmental support policies, technical advances, financing procedures as well as provide a detailed overview of the most up-to-date project developments across Turkey. |
