On February 14th, American time, Jason Wong, renowned as the “Asia SPAC Godfather” and Special Advisor to the American General Business Association and SME Overseas IPO Capital Group, was invited to visit South Korea. His purpose was to offer guidance and assistance to South Korean enterprises seeking to access the U.S. capital market through the SPAC mechanism. During his visit to Korea, he granted interviews to prominent Korean media outlets and garnered coverage and broadcasts from several internationally acclaimed news channels and media organizations. Jason Wong engaged in cordial exchanges and in-depth discussions with prominent local businesses and members of the South Korean parliament. He shared key aspects and core issues of the SPAC listing model, addressed long-standing uncertainties and inquiries from South Korean enterprises regarding the SPAC model, and conveyed signals of amicable collaboration. Various sectors in South Korea highly praised the objective of companies achieving listing through the SPAC mechanism, with explicit statements from South Korean enterprises affirming strong support for and advocacy of the SPAC listing model. This initiative plays a crucial role in facilitating specific South Korean companies' listings in the U.S., and it is anticipated to lead to widespread adoption of the SPAC model in the South Korean market. This imparted a positive momentum to the market.
